The Club prides itself in its ability to stay close to its roots to "promote boating in all of its branches, to provide a meeting place for those interested in this sport and foster a spirit of helpfulness and good fellowship which will be a credit to our community". Many programs have been created to fit the needs of all ages.

Youth Sailing

Key Biscayne Yacht Club provides a dynamic range of youth sailing programs for kids ages 6 and up, catering to all skill levels. Beginners can build confidence on the water in the fun and supportive Learn to Sail program, while those with experience can refine their skills through the Sailing Academy. For young sailors seeking competition, our teams travel globally to participate in regattas, offering exciting opportunities to race and grow in the sport.

Adult Sailing

Key Biscayne Yacht Club is involved in competitive sailing, hosting regattas on Biscayne Bay as part of the BBYRA circuit. Sailors of all levels can compete in a variety of classes, including PHRF, ARC, Etchells, J24/J70, Finn, VX One, and ILCA. Beyond local events, KBYC actively pursues opportunities to host national championships, such as the 2025 Finn Nationals Regatta, bringing top-tier competition to its waters.
